AWS certification study material

I've been in the IT industry for over 15 years...a good thing and I wanted to go into AWS.  I have experience with virtualization/storage and networking and I wanted to know what are good study materials for the CCNA level exams.  I don't have access to any AWS technology where I'm presently working but did want to go after this cert and possible job role.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Me too.

Amazon offers free webinars, workshops, courses for AWS from time to time and you can have access to their training material when you attend their training sessions.

There are two drawbacks.

The first one is that the training is not deep enough and the best way is do try and redeem their free credits for various different setvice, modules and components. You still need to pay a few bucks, but not more.

The other drawback is that such free training offers differ among different geographical regions and only regions which AWS has low adoption rate will be offered for such freebies.

Check out some of the videos on youtube--however most are for functional (how to use) and not for taking the tests but they may help https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=aws+training

I can't say for certain that it matches up with the certification requirements, but Pluralsight does have a few AWS courses which might be relevant.
7 h 19 m - Amazon Web Services (AWS) Fundamentals for System Administrators
7 h 30 m - AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
4 h 26 m - AWS Developer Fundamentals

You can get a free trial at Pluralsight which will allow 200 minutes of viewing to get an idea of this would be of value to you.

Of course, once you get the basics, you'll almost certainly want to do as Jackie Man suggests, and start a free AWS trial and play with the offerings as well.
Become a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert

This course teaches how to install and configure Windows Server 2012 R2.  It is the first step on your path to becoming a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).

Cisco CCNA is very networking and routing centric and AWS is specific cloud computing technology - there are other of AWS competitor and virtualisation is the niche over static on-premise DC. Maybe should broaden the scope as cloud computing instead of AWS centric first.  Cisco learning relation with Cloud soln can be a good kickstart to chart your learning esp if gearing to get CCNA ... try out the evaluation for sensing on the guide advocated

Those study guide need to be augment with some hands-on. We need to walk the talk to drill those learning - not only to pass exam, but build confidence into networking in a cloud space. It may be worth checking out some CCNA labs  (nnot on AWS but those labs are hosted by them..) https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B0081SO7DO

But if you really into AWS, then probably is look into AWS certification e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and AWS Certified Developer. These have the associate (beginner) for all 3 certification. The other are professional level (advanced) and master (learned)  level are available. http://blog.cloudthat.com/preparing-for-amazon-web-services-certified-solution-architect-certification-aws-architect-certification/

To add in specific to AWS, it also has a series of collaterals (http://aws.amazon.com/training/intro_series/ ) such as Instructional Videos and Labs. The self-paced lab may be worth exploring to kickstart https://qwiklabs.com/lab_catalogue/labs

The networking video (labs) can be leverage on as introductory to get you started
