resetting password for windows server 2012 using dvd doesnt see raid drive

I am trying to change the administrator password for server 2012 using the repair option with the original install disk. when I get to the command prompt, i get x:\sources\>  then I am supposed to change directory to D:  it says the drive doesnt exist
I have tried c: and e: etc but same effect.  The server is an HP ML350 G8 with a raid drive of 2 discs.
any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

Or use a newer version of Windows with the driver and the utilman trick - (google it - very simple, fast, and easy).

the system appears to load the drivers, but if it doesn't at what stage should I load the drivers and with a dvd?

What procedure were you hoping to use to change the administrator password?  As far as I recall, there is no way of doing that through a repair.

Thinking about it more now, you're only option (outside of a third party tool) is the utilman trick.  In which case, boot off the CD AS IF you are going to install Windows - when it doesn't show storage, load the drivers.  Then follow the utilman instructions.  (I like the Crack the Cred video #5 for a 5 minute demo/explanation of how to do it,  (while it's for a DC, it works just find on non-DCs).
