Here the customer data will repeat for each returning customer.<br />
In this case, we need to move &quot;one&quot; customer record for each customer to a &quot;Customer&quot; table.<br />

CustAddress<br />
CustPhone<br />
...etc<br />

OrderID (Primary Key)<br />
CustID (Foreign Key)<br />

But the devil is in the details...<br />
Suppose the customer has multiple addresses?<br />
Suppose some of the customer data was miss-spelled?<br />
What if you have an order with no customer info?<br />
What about null/empty fields?<br />
What about the key (Linking) fields?<br />

So again, there may not be a way to &quot;Automate&quot; this that will be 100% accurate.<br />
<br />
There are many links on &quot;Normalization&quot; if you search the web.<br />
But many of these links are not for people &quot;New&quot; to database design.<br />
Complex terms like:<br />
Normal Forms <br />
Joins (all the various types)<br />
Keys <br />
Datatypes<br />
Indexes<br />
Relationships<br />
Hierarchy<br />
Dependencies<br />
Cardinality<br />
...etc<br />
...are all terms that will be bandied about.<br />

If your data is relatively simple, ...we may be able to help.<br />
If it is more complex, ...then you may also wish to employ a dedicated database consultant.<br />
<br />
So the key here is for you to post a sample of your data.<br />

My flat table is to do with running, so we have an excel spreadsheets with things such as Date, Track, Place, Race, RDistance, Runner Name, Trainer etc. &nbsp;You can obviously imagine amount of repetition on the same date, place, track and so on. &nbsp;I want to import spreadsheet into a flat raw data table in access and then normalise by breaking down in a number of tables that avoid repetition. &nbsp;<br />

Any additional advice you could offer given above would be very much appreciated. :-)
