How to copy text from one vmware workstation to PC?
Hi I remember I can copy test from vmware into PC. Now I am using vmware workstation11. It cannot do that. Do you think so ? Thank you
So long as VMware Tools are installed, you can "copy" from (say) guest and "paste" into (say) host. For copy and paste to work, Tools must be installed and the guest settings must allow copy/paste (Under Guest Isolation in Settings, Options).

Thank you so much for your fast reply. I did it based on the link:
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1018377
After I installed the tool and restarted, I still cannot copy and past. Maybe something is wrong?

If Tools are installed, then in Guest Settings, Options, Guest Isolation and make sure copy/paste is enabled.
I just tried it and it works fine (as it always did) Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V or context right click "copy" right click "paste"
This is for copying text in files NOT for moving or copying files - Use a folder map for that.

Great! Thank you
@eemoon - You are very welcome and I was happy to help.
To make life easier on yourself, make sure your guest is set up for Bridged Networking - NAT is default and puts your guest on a different subnet.
