note: the database application must be develop using the least available access version ( in this case A2007)

another thing that you must consider here is not to use a shared application.<br />
create a Front End (FE) and Back End(BE) and distribute the FE to all users.<br />
<br />
take note that when the shared application is compact and repaired in A2010, the possibility of the db to be in unrecognized format when open in A2007 is very high.

Let me echo what Rey said - split the app. &nbsp;Each user must have his own, personal copy of the FE. &nbsp;The only shared file is the BE. &nbsp;There are various techniques available to distribute updated copies of the FE. &nbsp;I use a very simple batch file that runs from a shortcut and copies down a fresh copy of the FE every time the user opens the app. &nbsp;The FE is not large so this only adds a couple of seconds to the initial opening time and it eliminates the need to ever compact the FE.<br />
