AD Sync with O365

Hi team,

I've been looking on enabling single sign on for clients who have an on-premise W2012 AD and an O365 subscription for their email.

if I understand correctly, with Azure AD Connect, you need one box with AD Federation Services role and one box with Web Application Proxy.  Is there no way to put both on one single box ? Win Essentials seem to make it happen quite fine.

Perhaps I'm using the wrong tool ?

Essentials doesn't offer SSO with O365. If you want SSO, that does mean rolling out a full ADFS topology.

Sure it does, you create a user in Essentials and it pops up in O365, and vice versa.  But my question relates to Standard Edition.

I have deployed AADConnect successfully without ADFS, I see my "local" users created in the O365 console but not the other way around, users from O365 aren't imported into the local AD.

Mute point though, I understand now that SSO and password sync aren't the same...

Yw, password sync and SSO are no the same thing, and essentials does not do SSO.
