In Esxi 5.5 can i delete old snapshots

Hi Experts
I have Esxi 5.5 the snapshot take a lot of space i need to delete the old unwanted snapshot can i do that safely

Yes, you can but you must do it correctly, and not just remove the file from the datastore.

FIRST CHECK

1. Storage Space on the datastore ?
2. Is the Virtual Machine writing to a snapshot child disk ?

Do not rely on what you see in Snapshot Manager....

Please post a screenshot of the VM folder, and I can help you, and suggest the best course of action.

do you know how large the snapshot is?

do you know how much space is on your datstore ?

is the VM powered on ?

do you know what to expect when you hit delete ?

do you know how large the snapshot is?   up to 50 G
do you know how much space is on your datstore ?  300 G
is the VM powered on ?  Yes
do you know what to expect when you hit delete ?  yes

In that case, go ahead and DELETE ALL from Snapshot Manager, and Be patient.
