Accessing a shared public drive from a Terminal Services RD connection
Hi all,
I have currently set up a Terminal Services RD connection from an external site to a MS access programme based in my TS Server at the office.
However this external site belongs to a different network and is no way related to my office network. This external network provides for a public folder where files can be deposited for everyday use.
The programme I am accessing from this external site via TS requires to import a data file (excel) from this shared folder from this different network.
Therein lies the problem!!
When I try to browse through the browse facility of the programme in order to gain access to the file in the shared folder (as one would in a local PC), "something " is preventing me from seeing that shared public folder??
Grateful if someone can shed some light....
Not quite certain if this is a TS problem on my server or a Group policy setting somewhere???

Hi,
Because the drive/folder is on another network, I decided to test try to import a file from my own PC by remotely accessing my server using IE.
This also failed and got the same error message (see attached sheet).
I have tried to Google this error but to no avail.
Grateful for assistance.

But still could not access the shared drive, which makes me wonder whether it could be the Shared folder's properties (or share drive) that is preventing me from accessing from that folder!
