I have an ancient oracle &nbsp;8.1.x database running on a virtualized NT 4 server. &nbsp;(old old) &nbsp; We can not start the database. &nbsp; When we try in SQL + we get a <br />

Completed alter database 'XXX' mounted &nbsp; &nbsp; (XXX the database name)<br />
<br />
<br />
then when it tries to do <br />
<br />
Alter database &quot;XXX&quot; open we get <br />
Ora-1122 signaled during Alter database &quot;XXX&quot; open <br />
<br />
All the *.ora files seem ok. &nbsp;We played around with services and rebooted the server to try to get proper services, but nothing.<br />

Any Ideas or even a experience consultant to hire would be helpful. &nbsp;We have googled a ton
