I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would respectfully say, don't waste your time on this. You need to get more basic stuff sorted out first before you worry about this, if you ever worry about this. One of the reasons someone might develop using Java is so that you DON'T have to worry about these details. Also, a lot of this stuff probably changes from version to version, and implementation to implementation, so any answer would be specific to those details (which you didn't provide).
