Word 2013 - Some (not all) existing word docs and new blank docs have a mail header (to, bcc, subject) when you open the docs
The user said they didn't do anything, but now they get the header for email when opening an existing word doc (.doc extension) in word 2013 on win 7.
Can't see how to turn that off. Norman.dotm hasn't been edited in months. (and woudl that affect how it opens an existing word doc anyway?)
Some word docs on their desktop (vs company share folder, if it matters) open without the mail header. Can't see why it does for some and not for others.
oh, and when I fill in an email address and click on 'send a copy', i get an 'error has occurred' message. outlook is configured on the machine and works fine.
any thoughts?

some poking around, I see that if I add the 'send to email recipient' to the quick access toobar, then I can click on it when one of these docs is open. t hat gets rid of the to cc subject fields. Then if I save that doc, those fields don't show up for that doc. But it seems all the docs in a certain directory all get those lines, untill I do that process with turn off 'send to email recipient' and save the doc. but many of these docs are 1+ year old and the problem started last week / these docs hadn't been touched in a long time.
I would think the problem is with word, not with each individual document? Likely some keystroke the user hit that brings up those fields by default....

and by the way, this user does not have outlook configured / doesn't have an email account set up on this machine.
so
a) thats why the 'send a copy' link causes the error
b) this send to email recipient' issue doesn't help to have on this machine
c) does the fact that outlook not being set up wind up helping or hurting things / make it harder to turn off these fields? ANd why only on some docs?

how do you get to the master profile? is that the normal.dotm? Delete it? I opned that doc (which has a modified date of a few months ago / not when the problem started a week ago). and that opened wthout the mail fields.
