get-exchangeserver tells me that I am n 14.1 which I believe means that I am on SP1.<br />
What's your advice on upgrading? Can I go straight to SP3 or do I have to SP2 first.

I'm afraid I can't offer any solid advice on the best path for upgrading the server; my expertise does not lie in that direction. &nbsp;However, I did find more evidence that Service Pack 2 (or better) is required if you run Exchange 2010. &nbsp;See the links below:<br />

I did find some posts from people who have done this claiming that going straight to SP3 is quite possible but you might need to take some precautions first. &nbsp;Perhaps one of the Exchange gurus here can provide more info.

Many thanks - Outlook 2016 requires Exchange SP2 or higher. Upgrade very straightforward, if not a little long. Just have to remember to deactivate any services associated with the Exchange Transport Layer (i.e. AV related).
