Problem accessing QNAP using alias instead of hostname from Windows 2012 R2 Server

We have QNAP in place with the hostname QNAP01.  The Qnap has the latest firmware and is joined to the AD Domain.  We have the DNS entry for QNAP01 and also a CNAME ARCHIV in DNS.  From our Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 the users connect to the Qnap using the name \\archiv.

Now we have a Windows 2012 R2 Citrix farm where the users can't connect using the alias \\archiv.  They get a authentication prompt.  When they enter their credentials they still cannot connect to the Qnap.  But when they enter the hostname \\qnap01 they can connect without any issues.

Please advise.
