With QNAP, you can spend more money and you will get more drive bays, hot swappable drive bays, faster processor, more memory, more ethernet ports.<br />
A basic TS-212 is perfectly OK for file sharing for 10 to 15 users.<br />
If you eventually get a server, you can use your AD users and groups to control access to the NAS shares.<br />
I'm sure there are plenty of other good NAS devices but most of my experience is with QNAP.<br />
