I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Lower the better.
1st: warm air accumulates at top
2nd: blade enclosure can weight around 300kg when fully populated and with that in mind, recommendation is to put the heaviest items at the bottom of the rack

Has your aircon got the extra capacity to deal with the populated blade enclosure?
Have you looked at your airflow?
Have you planned your cold and hot aisle strategy?

Also look at power requirements to supply the correct power for the blade enclosure.

If you do not have sufficient AirCon, you may need to purchase a rack which contains enclosed AirCon.
