If you just need to discover the MAC address of the Samsung device and you know its IP address, type <i>arp -a</i> at a command prompt; this will list the IP addresses in the ARP table, along with the MAC addresses associated with each one.<br />

The Virgin hub will most certainly see the MAC addresses of any connected wireless devices, as features like access control won't work without it.

Any idea why I cannot get my Samsung PVR (blue ray player and HD) Device name (BDE8500M) to show on my UK Virgin Media Superbub 2 configuration settings (device list) in order to MAC filter the times in which I can block access to the internet? &nbsp;The device name is showing in the settings of the Samsung PVR, but showing as blank in the broadband superhub settings.<br />
