Device name not showing in the Broadband configuration setup page
Any idea why I cannot get my Samsung PVR (blue ray player and HD) Device name (BDE8500M) to show on my UK Virgin Media Superbub 2 configuration settings (device list) in order to MAC filter the times in which I can block access to the internet? The device name is showing in the settings of the Samsung PVR, but showing as blank in the broadband superhub settings.
It is currently connected via wifi.

If you just need to discover the MAC address of the Samsung device and you know its IP address, type arp -a at a command prompt; this will list the IP addresses in the ARP table, along with the MAC addresses associated with each one.
The Virgin hub will most certainly see the MAC addresses of any connected wireless devices, as features like access control won't work without it.

You should still be able to filter as long as the hub can see the MAC address of the player.
