If you can specify at what time it gets hang or during any specific action. ?

Try opening Word in safe mode:

1. Open a run dialog by using the Windows Key + R shortcut
2. Type 'winword.exe /safe' (no quotes) and press Enter

If Word no longer hangs in safe mode the problem is most likely an Add-In:

If that doesn't work, try running a repair on Office through Programs and Features in the Control Panel:

Please let us know about the Repair as suggested by Jason above.

If that does not work, make a new, test, Windows User Profile (Account). Log into the new Windows Account and try Word in the new Windows Account. It could be a User Profile error problem.

If Word hangs on opening, I've often found the simplest fix is to delete the normal.dot template it's trying to load when opening.

A bit more specific information, as mentioned above (when is it hanging, what are you doing at the time) would help.  Additional information about what you see/symptoms and what you define as "hang up" would also be useful :)
