We are managing small cloud platform for small business and protecting all virtual servers / dedicated with full blown UTM firewall appliance and were asked by one customer as below. we are puzzled a bit. It would be great if you can throw some light on below terms and how we can meet the requirement<br />

Cloud Protection Pack --&gt; We didn't understand this, we are assuming this is a host of security services coupled together<br />
Advanced Anti malware and Web Reputation for Servers --&gt; Understood but need more guidance<br />
Data Protection --&gt; We already offer HA for all the customer servers / services, but would be great if there is more to add here<br />
Cloud Compliance Pack --&gt; We again did not understand this<br />

Cloud computing, also known as on-demand computing, is a kind of Internet-based computing where shared resources and information are provided to computers and other devices. OS security refers to specified steps or measures used to protect the OS from threats, viruses, worms, malware or remote hacker intrusions. OS security encompasses all preventive-control techniques, which safeguard any computer assets capable of being stolen, edited or deleted if OS security is compromised, including authentication, passwords and threats to systems and programs.

Software firewalls, also known as host-based firewalls, provide a layer of software on one host that controls network traffic in and out of that single machine. Most operating systems now include firewall software, but many available software firewalls include central distribution, antivirus systems and disaster recovery.

Hardware-based firewalls provide more sophisticated protection for inbound and outbound traffic than the simple Windows software firewall or the basic NAT firewalls found in routers. These devices implement techniques such as stateful packet inspection, deep packet inspection, and content filtering; and may include built-in antivirus and anti-malware protection.
