Strange files found in Windows 10 doesn't permit change Archive bit
We were changing the archive bit of a series of files and found strange filenames that along with their strange name, there hidden and/or inaccessible.
Examples:
We know what are 'desktop.ini' and 'Thumbs.db', but we need to change the Archive bit so our backups apps Cobian don't consider them.
Please advice.
Examples:
'.Parent'
'~$ Any_Filename'
'desktop.ini'
'Thumbs.db'

I do not have these.
If you are satisfied that you are not going to roll back, then run Disk Cleanup and when it comes up, select the button that says Clean up System Files. Allow it to run again and select all the areas to be cleaned up including old Windows installations.
Then see if you still have the problem.
If so please post the Windows 10 folder name where you see the issue so that we may try to duplicate the problem.

We decided not to run Disk Cleanup until the time passes by w10 just incase.
Do you know what the file names '.Parent' and '~$ Any_Filename' are?
Also how can we change the archive bit or attribute of these 2 files?

I do not have any files like this on either of my Windows 10 Pro machines.
I think (speculation) they are left over from the upgrade.

Thanx for the info!!
What about '.Parent' files?
FYI:
The temporary files with '~$', if the word document is over a year old and yet the temp file-name still exist, can is it safe to delete them? or does the Cleanup as recommended in ID: 41389996 would take care of that task?

Awarded also the comment with Cleanup since makes sense that whenever we do decide to run, might fix or delete these temp files.

'.Parent', '~$ Any_Filename', 'desktop.ini' and 'Thumbs.db', only '~$ Any_Filename' is placed as a general example; the other 3 are exact filenames.
An actual example of '~$ Any_Filename' within my storage would be: '~$Client List 2015-0215'.
We have windows.old left from w10 upgrade, but in an EE question, was informed that we can delete any time and/or w10 will hold it for a period of time and not to worry.
