Sorry I'm not very au fait with this stuff, how can I tell if the 'vSwitch is external in the host'? and by host do you mean the host of the WCF or the host of the VM (or some other host)?

I've just go Windows Phone Emulator running in Hyper V. I'm making a call to a WCF service, nothing appears in Wireshark.<br />
I can see browser/http traffic using the emulator's browser + see the WCF call if I make it in a console app (not in emulator), but not thru the emulator code.....don't know how to diagnose....<br />
PS the call is not to localhost, its going www.

Hyper-V is a native hypervisor; it can create virtual machines on x86-64 systems and supersedes Windows Virtual PC as the hardware virtualization component of the client editions of Windows NT.
