Hi Guys
I have stumbled across an issue we are having. All of our Windows 7 domain joined machines have suddenly had their time zones changed to Pacific Time from GMT/UTC. We run virtual desktops, and they are always on except for maintenance and that hasn't happened recently. We can go in and change the Time zone and it works fine, but sporadically if will then change back to the Pacific Time time zone.
Here are the things Ive checked already:-
1) My PDC syncs with uk.ntp.pool.org and has correct TZ and time/date
2) All other DC's sync with the PDC and have correct Time and Date and TimeZone info
3) As they're virtual machines, they are configured NOT to sync time with their hosts and Ive confirmed this
4) The BIOS time setings are spot on and as its virtual its not a battery issue
5) All network kit the devices are attached to are correctly configured to UTC
6) I don't use DHCP settings for NTP server details
I've even followed various links to try and configure the settings by GPO/Startup Script but even though the GPO applies it doesn't change the settings or update the registry.
I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this recently as we have performed Windows updates quite recently, but no other major changes.
Thanks
ASKER
