I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That error involves the code for my version of notifying the user when a task is upcoming, and as I said in the other thread I don't think that we should take the route,

The code that you posted is from this thread which i think you should close and not use. I suggest you go back to the code from this older thread and use it as a basis for going forward.
isnoend2001Author Commented:
i don't understand I am trying to continue with the latest code you posted doing it your way.
With the 3 cbo's

Ok, I'll begin to fix some of the bugs you reported in that thread. And the problem in this thread is that the dat file I recently created for you does not have the column needed so that notification data can be saved.  If that doesn't make sense don't worry about it: I'll fix that also. I'll do both tomorrow.
isnoend2001Author Commented:
ok, good
The 2nd zip i posted has the code to create the dat file if not present
isnoend2001Author Commented:
I was in error the 2nd zip did not have the code to create the .dat file
this one does you probably don't need it but just in case, here it is
i can see it need to create 9 columns instead of 8, so it needs modifaction
you are probably past it though

Yes I am. BTW the first row of data in the dat file used to represent the number of rows minus 1 and the number of columns minus one. I've changed that so that the numbers represent the actual number of rows and columns. I think that's easier to understand.
