Thanks guys, I will update to SP3 first then if that doesn't work rename the system32/spooler folder next.

I have an issue on a Windows XP / SP1 machine where nothing gets printed. &nbsp;Other PCs on the same network can print ok to the same printer. &nbsp;On this particular WinXP PC if I print from Word or NotePad I can see the document appear in the print queue for a couple of seconds then it disappears, but never gets printed. &nbsp;I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver software a couple of times. &nbsp;The HP diagnostic software scans issues but doesn't detect that there are any issues. &nbsp;I have verified that the Printer Spooler service and dependent RPC services are running. &nbsp;I've looked at the Event logs but no errors stand out that I have seen. &nbsp;Besides updating this PC or doing a WinXP repair is there anything else I could try to fix this type of problem?<br />
