@Euro5: I'm surprised you'd rather loop through a group of rows then get the value immediately, but of course it's your choice.
Get what value Martin? Even now, I can't see any requirement of a value being returned.
Well the question title contained "calculate first row of named range" and I assumed that the author wanted to find out the row number of the first row in a named range.
