asked on

client's website results vary by search engine

Client is trying to fix incorrect information (old menus, old hours, etc) that appears when you search for them on the web.  We are finding that the right hand column results vary based on search engine (i.e. Bing, Google, etc).  Do they have to contact each search engine to correct the information?  If so, which search engines beside Bing and Google should we target?

In Bing, when you search for antoinettes menu plymouth the right hand column on the results page show an old image, wrong hours, etc.  See link

In Google, the Menu links to a website called locu.com.  Client never heard of them before.  Plus the menu is not correct!  Here is screen shot.

So, which search engines do I need to target to see if they have the wrong info besides Bing and Google?
I think this link has old info.  Firefox isn't listed but Alta Vista is.  I think Alta Vista died along time ago.  Correct me if I am wrong...
But firefox is a webbrowser, not a search engine
You are correct.

I found this like which answered my original question.

I need to make sure info is good on Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Very good, I was a little confused on what you originally meant but now it makes sense! Hopefully you can now fix the issue!
