When you create the image with Ghost, you need to make sure that you select Image Boot in the options. This allows the image to start when loaded back on to the computer. I assume it was the same desktop.

Rawcopy copies every bit, occupied or not. &nbsp;So the transfer time depends on interface throughput. &nbsp;It is NOT file dependent, so it doesn't slow down with small files.<br />

A 500 GB HD via USB 3 depending on the USB3 adapters used can transfer at about 100 MB/sec. &nbsp;So, 500000 MB / 100 = 5000 seconds; 5000 seconds divided by 60 is about 83 minutes - or 1 hour 23 minutes.
