The point being. &nbsp;IMAP settings are controlled by the backend. &nbsp;You can use custom rules to move messages in Outlook but you might be better off using Mozilla Thunderbird for IMAP.<br />

I use Mozilla Thunderbird and Outlook. &nbsp;I tend to use Thunderbird for IMAP. &nbsp;I never use POP3.<br />

This is just the default behavior for Outlook. &nbsp;If your backend was Exchange you would use Autodiscover or HTTPS/RPC not IMAP.

Brian, Outlook deletes into &quot;Deleted Items&quot; with my IMAP, because I said so. Ergo it works.

In 2010 there is a option to change Sent and Deleted Items folder. However in 2016 I cannot find these options anymore.
