update description in AD

i just updated a user from associate to partner in AD under the DESCRIPTION field. problem im having is that my address book and his reflect his old job title.  how to i fix? if it even matters, i updated the offline address book.

Is your outlook client running in Cached mode? If so, it would take time for the change to reflect in Outlook.

Very good point, yes the correct field to change is under "Organization" in the user properties and the field name is "Job Title"
