Powerpoint slide generation from text files
Hi,
I am looking for a way to generate MS Powerpoint (version 2013) slides from text files.
I need very simple slides that show just 1 line of text centered horizontally and vertically (if it is a long text line it can extent over several lines per slide).
Any idea how I can do that?
Thank you!
Patrick

Thank you very much, JSRWilson - excellent solution. And so fast. Incredible :-)
1. Create your text file and then within PowerPoint, click the Insert tab and then the bottom half of the New Slide split button. At the bottom of the slide layouts gallery that will appear, you'll see a button Slides from Outline... Click that and then point to your text file.
2. If you are considering a programmatic approach e.g using VBA then you can have more control over the positioning and formatting of your inserted text boxes. I don't have a code example to do exactly what you want but could give you the basics if you're familiar with VBA.
