1. Create your text file and then within PowerPoint, click the <b>Insert</b> tab and then the bottom half of the <b>New Slide</b> split button. At the bottom of the slide layouts gallery that will appear, you'll see a button <b>Slides from Outline...</b> Click that and then point to your text file.<br />

2. If you are considering a programmatic approach e.g using VBA then you can have more control over the positioning and formatting of your inserted text boxes. I don't have a code example to do exactly what you want but could give you the basics if you're familiar with VBA.
