Well, anything a user can view in a browser can be downloaded and saved (and potentially altered). &nbsp;You could probably password protect a true PPT file, but a user must still be able to download it to view it. &nbsp;It's the nature of the web. No way around it. &nbsp; 
 
As far as generating slides, what about using <a href="https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/cfml-reference/coldfusion-tags/tags-p-q/cfpresentation.html" rel="ugc">cfpresentation</a>? It can generate slides in either ppt or html format. &nbsp;Here's a quick and dirty example based on the docs, so you can get an idea of how it works (added few fixes and removed dependencies)

CFPresentation should support <a href="http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Developing/WS08731025-2134-4bc8-A7CF-4751AF3628BC.html" rel="ugc nofollow">conversion from ppt-&gt;html</a> too. &nbsp;I don't know if supports the newer .PPTX format yet, though.
