moving mail function out of sbs2008 to Exchange online (O365)
I need to move my customer off SBS2008 from a mail point of view but I need to do the whole job within one weekend. About 50 mailboxes but I don't want to be waiting for data sync forever.
One thought is to remove all but a couple weeks worth of mail out of everyone mailbox (via archive to local PST) to minimize the amount of data to move.
Another random thought was to avoid directory sync and just use local accounts only for cloud/Exchange portion. Can anyone think of the downside other than the account management headache ? Looking for PRO's and CON's here.
Just basically looking for general guidelines/thoughts/sugges tions and experiences.
Thanks !
