HP LaserJet 1200 RDP Redirect Win10/7
I have a client who has an HP LaserJet 1200 connected via USB to her Windows 10 computer. From the Windows 10 computer she RDPs into a Windows 7 computer. Printer redirection is enabled, and the Windows fax device redirects fine, but the HP 1200 is not.
I wanted to install the driver on the Windows 7 side, but HP doesn't offer a driver download for this printer, it just says to use Windows update.
Is there any work around or some way I can make this work?

Sorry I assumed it was a domain environment. It doesn't sound like it is, can you just verify for me?
Thanks

Yes, they have that permission. As I've mentioned, other printers are redirecting, just the HP is not.
Offhand I would suggest plugging it into the win 7 pc just to get the driver Installed.
I realise this may not be possible.
Is laserjet 1200 listed in the add printer list?
If so, you could install it from there to an lpt port, then it might redirect correctly

The 1200 is not listed in Window's add printer list. I did try adding a printer using the LaserJet III driver as suggested by Matthew, and also using the HP Universal Printer Driver. (HP doesn't have the 1200 driver available for download).

Printer redirection is working, because I see the Windows Fax and CutePDF redirect, so I know it's something with just this printer.
And yes, we're doing full log off's from the remote client to establish a new connection each time for testing.
