&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; From my understanding so far, I have come to the conclusion that permalinks are preferred over hypertext links when any of the major search engines like Google or Yahoo are used to locate a site. &nbsp;In other words, permalinks provide for a higher ranking as compared to hypertext links. &nbsp; Permalinks are also easier for people to remember because there is not any complicated strings of code making up the URL. &nbsp;Are these the only distinctions between permalinks and hypertext links which need to be kept in mind or are there others?<br />
