Please see the following article on how to Download YouTube Videos without playing the entire clip.
We've discussed plenty of ways to download YouTube videos before. However, you have one option already installed on your computer. VLC lets you play and download YouTube videos right from its desktop interface. Here's how:

Find a video on YouTube—like this one—and copy the URL from the address bar.
In VLC, head to Media > Open Network Stream.
Paste the YouTube link in the box and click Play.
    Under Tools, click Codec Information.
In the box that says Location, right-click the block of text and click Select All. Copy this text to your clipboard.
Go back to your browser and paste the link in the address bar. This will open the source file directly on YouTube's servers.
Right-click the video as it plays and select Save Video As.
PS - in MS Internet Explorer you have the  option to save the video directly. In Firefox, the video opens - simply right click and select Save Video As...
Hi,
Did that vlc method worked for you specifically for the youtube link i posted ? It doesnt work for me .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GX6YtMWAbeA is a blocked for download- this happens! It doesn't depend on the software you use.

It looks like ScottCha is correct― you will need Snagit or something similar.
Okay... But is there any way to know that its blocked ?? i mean something you can see on the html of page etc ??
No, you will have to try to download it and if you can't, then that is how you will know.

As you can see you can download this video and there is nothing in the code that is different.
