Sharp printer network error
On a Sharp MX-M283N printer there is an error coming up on the printer LCE that says
Network Error. (CE-00)
This occurs when doing a scan to email. The issue is intermittent. We've already checked the SMTP settings and they are correct. Checked the network and it's fine, able to ping the printer with no drops and ping outside with no drops. Error logs for the printer either show that message or have an error code of 44-0000 for that job. Changed out the network cable to the printer and also the that it is on the switch. Error still occurs. When the error does occur it will sometimes stop the scans and not go through or it will still go through or after the error the scan is ran again it goes through. This can occur when scanning as little as 4 pages or up to 100 pages. What can this error be referring to and how to resolve it?

This could be an auto negotiation failure, especially if it is a Gigabit switch.
If you can, lock the speed on that switch port to 100 MBPS and reboot the printer. If you can't, you may need a sharp engineer to do it on the printer.
As a quick test, if you have a spare switch from a different manufacturer try connecting that in between the sharp and the switch.

I have enabled RARP on the printer. Today everything seemed to be fine and then the user did a scan to email and the issue occured again where it says "Selected Servers are not found. Consult your network administrator." When I looked in the printer job log it says error code 80-0000. What is that error code referring to? Can that be the result of the enabling RARP?
80-0000 is a NIC communication error.
See my post above.

I replaced the switch and still seeing the error code 44-0000 in the printer job log. Error code is intermittent.

Additionally, the CE-00 error often pertains to SMTP authentication settings. Verify your send-email settings on the unit.
