I have a friend who has a Windows 8 laptop. About 40 updates were installed yesterday and today she's having three problems. Before the updates, the laptop worked fine.<br />

She can't login. She gets the welcome message after typing in her password, then the screen takes her back to the login screen.<br />
After rebooting the laptop, she can login but no desktop icons are shown.<br />
About 5 minutes later the laptop automatically logs her out.<br />
