Thanks.. but as the original question stands, the user was logged into a Win10 PC with the same issue. &nbsp;So XP not the culprit. &nbsp;<br />

Apologies, I must have misread the issue. &nbsp;Here's a couple things to try:<br />
<br />
1. Verify MAPI is enabled on the mailbox:<br />
<br />

This should return a MAPIEnabled value of True<br />

2. Delete any pre-existing .ost files on the workstation and reconfigure the Outlook profile. &nbsp;The default location for .ost files is:<br />

%userprofile%\AppData\Loca<wbr />l\Microsof<wbr />t\Outlook<br />
<br />
You can delete everything in this directory except any pre-existing .pst files<br />
<br />
3. Configure the profile in online mode:<br />

The mapi request returned true.<br />
&nbsp;Im familiar with how to create a profile, add email account, etc, however, &nbsp;I don't believe the issue is related to the OST or the XP box, or anything locally because outlook is not connecting on either PC and that goes for XP and Windows 10. &nbsp;xp + outlook 2007, and windows 10 using outlook 2013. &nbsp;Logging in as other users and configuring outlook works without issue on the Win10 PC.<br />

When I added the profile initially to the win10 box, it added the profile without issue and resolved (underlined) the username and server. &nbsp;When outlook is started, it does prompt for a username and password (?!?) &nbsp;which is then entered correctly. &nbsp;On the XP box, outlook says disconnected and when you rt clic outlook + ctrl in the system tray, there is no connection whatsoever. &nbsp;In the Win10 box, it prompts for username and password and seems to connect but doesn't show anything in the users inbox.. (there are items in there as per OWA). &nbsp;When I send / receive I get the 0x8004010F &nbsp;error (access denied).<br />

In order to use a cloud backup the exchange box needed SP2. &nbsp;Was installed AOK. &nbsp;The last XP client using outlook 2007 was then unable to connect to the exchange box. &nbsp;All other users on Windows 7 / 10 are able to connect without issue. &nbsp;I researched and read about RPC and encryption, but all looks in order. &nbsp;I am thinking its something with the XP box. &nbsp;So as a test, I login as the user on a Win7 (upgraded to win10) box. &nbsp;Logs in without issue, go to configure the email, ok. &nbsp;Automatically detects. &nbsp;Start outlook and get &quot;&nbsp;You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with he current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your outlook data file (.ost)&quot;.<br />
