"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

this depends on your SQL Server configuration (default instance vs. named instance, default ports or adjusted ports ...).
The default port for a default instance is TCP 1433. The named instance will get a dynamic port but uses TCP port 1434 for name resolution.

The various ports needed in the farm are detailed in this documentation (below is 2013 but it's also available for other versions);

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262849(v=office.15).aspx

There's also interesting advice for hardening the farm by changing the standard ports, though that goes beyond your question.

Log on SQL Server machine and open SQL Server Configuration Manager and expand to Network Configuration/Protocols for the instance name (if default then MSSQLSERVER). Double click on TCP/IP and verify what is the TCP Port number.
