Hi Experts,

I have a XP machine running outlook 2007. it comes up with the following message if you try and achieve or delete any items 'the file outlook.pst has reached its maximum size. to reduce the amount of data in this file'

I've gone to the file location and its about 2GB which is the standard limit for 2007.

so I've then gone into the registry to increase the maximum size for this file, I have tried different values and rebooted in-between, each time it appears to make no difference... the error still remains.

http://www.msoutlook.info/question/99 - this is just one site which showed me how to do this, they all show the same/

I cant work out why this is not working...

@jerseysam - This resolved the problem (error message), it then allowed me to archive the e-mails whereas before I couldn't even do that because it had hit the physical limit!

@☠ MASQ ☠ - the .pst was 97-2002 and that's why it wouldn't let me increase the size, spot on!

thanks guys
