Thanks for input, however it seems I nay need to uninstall the integration server due to version issue. How do I reinstall ssis, note I have both 2008 &2012 versions on my local computer.
You should just be able to rerun the installer
You can only have a SSIS version installed by server. Which version of SSIS do you have and which version of SSMS are you using to connect to it?
You should use same version or a SSMS version higher than the SSIS version.

I want both to be in-sync with 2012 dev version. When I review the other setups for the remaining components of SSAS,SSRS they are all have the name of karen on Host Name of KarensPlace. SSIS seems to be missing that portion on the Name line of the properties.
binary path = c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.KAREN\MSSQL
name: SQL Server\ Intergration Services 11.0
it appears that I am using the same version, so how to I connect the correct ssis to the correct ssms?

Can you post a screenshot of how are you trying to connect through SSMS?
