Why can't we see the origin IP of an email address

We want to see the IP address of an email and uses a web link to this but we noticed some email don't show an ip.  Why is that? Is the ip being hidden? Is that possible?  Please explain.  Thank you in advance.

What email client are you using? It should have either the IP address or a hostname of the originating mail server in the header.
Are you using Outlook?  Open the message and use File, Properties and you can see the headers. Normally you can determine the IP address from this.

Its outlook & yes, we have gone into the properties of the email (the reason we inclined to EE assistance).

Is there a way someone can hide their IP address? Is that possible?

So it is possible.  Any of u guys know how they do it or some link that can provide info on it?
If you cannot find the IP address in the Outlook Headers then it is not there.

Great info!!! Thanx!!  Just go off the phone with a colleague talking about this matter and he said that some people uses proxy which thankfully you covered in your previous entry, but he also mention something like "mesh", which we don't know what it is; if you can, do you guys know anything about this?
Proxies and VPN can possibly obfuscate IP addresses, but "mesh" (Wi-Fi mesh?) does not so far as I know.

If you are trying to trace a spammer, you are likely wasting your time. Legitimate email should have easily discoverable IP addresses
