Per Andrew. That how we do it by storing ISOS on the host datastore. It also a good way to keep isos for VMs that you created so you can do reinstalls and repairs if needed with them since their can be hundreds of isos for a single OS due to upgrades/patches that get release.

Thanks Andrew, that is the way i have used here by uploading them small isos to my data store, but here we have diff iso for diff vms to be deployed.

So need to understand why it not showing option to map it from my local machine ?
so that a user have access to create vms[vmx10] from web client. , can map it from his local machine
any dependency/special setting is required ?

I am able to do it in ways  like iso from host or from datastore ,but not from local machine?

VMware, a software company founded in 1998, was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies. VMware has many software products that run on desktops, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS, which allows the virtualizing of the x86 architecture. Its enterprise software hypervisor for servers, VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi), is a bare-metal hypervisor that runs directly on the server hardware and does not require an additional underlying operating system.
