you confirmed what i thought i needed to do. just didn't want to blow anything up! I created the new zone and all is good.<br />
It even deprecated the old zone automatically. I'll wait a while and delete that.<br />
you were the first to answer so here's 400 points<br />

Thanks for the input. We've been have all kinds of odd ball stuff going on and are trying to clean up anything Microsoft suggests (within reason &nbsp;!)<br />

Got this error in windows 2008r2 best practice analyzer.<br />
this forest was started in windows 2000 and upgraded to windows 2003 and then to 2008r2<br />
I've seen many &quot;fixes&quot; on many web site, but most just talk about single forest/single domain environments. <br />
I don't see any showing single forest/multi domain environments<br />
Here is my settings<br />
