Thanks a lot for your help. I just created a diagram using SQL server express and want to extract it to any other software in order to print it and discuss it with my colleagues. I tried to copy it from SQL but it cannot be saved in windows clipboard in order to paste it.

Thanks a lot Scott &amp;&nbsp;David, I have window 8.1 and Visio 2013 PRO and I tried the codeplex addin but it works for Visio 2010 only. Any other solution?

I'm afraid I don't have any ideas other than tracking down a copy of Visio 2010 Pro to use its reverse engineering feature. Perhaps someone in your company or among your friends has an old PC with Visio 2010? Or you may be able to buy an inexpensive copy online? A third option: if you have, or know someone who has, an MSDN subscription, it may still be possible to download Visio 2010. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

A postscript to this question for anyone who is looking for the database reverse engineering (DBRE) feature in Visio: as of today, Microsoft has announced availability of a preview version of the DBRE feature for Visio Pro for Office 365.<br />
