uninstall windows 10

I need to know if there is anyway to uninstall windows 10 (which was installed from a cd and not a upgrade). The user had vista on it. He needs to go back to vista. The windows.old folder is still there. He has programs that will not work with windows 10.

I haven't tried, but I guess you'll even be able to restore vista, since windows.old should hold everything we need. Take this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/933168 it shows something similar: returning to another version of vista after vista has been installed over it.
You need to restore the bootloader as well, it is described there in, too.
The only reason to uninstall Windows 10 to return to Vista is if Windows 10 does not work on that machine.

Does Windows 10 work on the machine?   or does it not work?

As said above, there was never a path from Vista to Windows 10 and there is no return except back up and fresh install.

Vista now has less than 2% market share and has been orphaned. If you can, move on to something more current.
Backup the windows old folder all his files are still there.
Just curious: Did you bother to try mine?
