are there any websites which offer grant assistance to people in need?

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I have a dear and close friend who is in need of financial assistance to meet her basic day by day living needs.  While I have been doing everything I can to help, she still needs much more financial help especially with her health and dental care needs.  Given this sad scenario, I am wondering if there is a site or sites that I can check out on her behalf which might offer grant assistance.  I realize that grants are generally awarded to corporations and organizations which represent an interest in a particular area like education, energy, environmental protection, and so forth.   As such, this might not be an option for her.  My friend is disabled so seeking employment opportunities is not an option.

If there are any corporate, organizational, or federal grant opportunities available for needy people, can someone provide a link please?  It will be deeply appreciated.

            Thank you

             George

What country and city are you in?  Most social assistance programs have a local focus.

Hi

We are in the US.  Murfreesboro, TN is the more specific geographical region.

           Thanks

Hi

Thank you for this link.  I will make sure to keep it handy if it should be needed.  For the time being, I think we got all of her basic needs squared away.
