&nbsp;Is there a way to not have contacts in general apply to the policy. We don’t use a lot of contacts (we have 21 in total) and there are a few of them that appear to be in the same boat. Plus I know any new ones we create would do the same thing initially.

Well because of this the email policy exists, any object created will inherit a policy. What you can do is to create a specific one (targeting let's say a specific OU where you keep all contacts) and in that policy to do what you need. The other way is to have a script running let's say each day and checking for those mail contacts and disabling the policy. Or you can try to use from <a href="https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd335054(v=exchg.150).aspx" rel="ugc">Cmdlet extension agents</a>, the Scripting agent, but you need to know what you are doing there.

We need to remove the default email address from an external email contact but each time we remove it, the email policy keeps putting it back. <br />
We used to be able to do this in Exch 2007 by telling the contact not to follow the policy but don't see anyway to do this in exch 2013<br />
In exch 2007 we had the ability to override the policy by a checkbox for both mailboxes and contacts, it only appears to be an option for mailboxes in 2013 and not contacts.<br />
Does anyone know how we can do this?
