Windows PC shared MS Excel file permissions change after Macintosh has opened and saved the file.

Hi,

I have an Excel doc that is shared on a windows domain folder share. This file has specific users that have full permissions while the rest of the domain has read only. One of the full permission users is on a Macintosh, every time he opens then edits and saves the file the permissions are now changed to just him having full permissions all other users are wiped out.

My theory is that when he opens the excel doc the temporary file is created on his Mac, he then edits and saves the files at which point the permissions from the temporary file save over the actual file wiping out all the other users on the permission list windows manages.

How do I get this work so it doesn't wipe all the permission of the other users every time this one Mac user accesses and edits the file.

TIA
