I have 6 sites that are connected via MPLS circuits.<br />
The segments are as follows:<br />

10.20.x.x<br />
10.30.x.x<br />

Currently &nbsp;I have a DHCP server at each location providing addresses to clients<br />

I would like to setup one DHCP with failover at one site. &nbsp;<br />
My HP switches currently do not have any VLans (other than the default one)<br />
What is the correct way to go about setting up the VLans and to &nbsp;be able to provide addressing?<br />
Also how do I assign my DHCP servernetwork &nbsp;port to more than 1 VLan (or do I need to ?) in order for requests from other network segments to be filled properly?<br />

Probably making this more complicated than it needs to be just looking for a single server DHCP solution across all my sites.

Network design and methodology, also known as network architecture, is the design of a communication network. It is a framework for the specification of a network's physical components and their functional organization and configuration, its operational principles and procedures, as well as data formats used in its operation. In telecommunication, the specification of a network architecture may also include a detailed description of products and services delivered via a communications network, as well as detailed rate and billing structures under which services are compensated.

Network Architecture

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is an auto configuration protocol used on IP networks and an extension of the Bootstrap Protocol. DHCP allows for computers to be configured automatically to communicate with each other over an IP network without the need for manual setup by a network administrator. The implementation of DHCP relies on a DHCP server to hand out network configuration information to DHCP-capable clients that request an IP address (and other information required or useful in communicating with other devices on an IP network). In addition to an IP address, common configuration information served over DHCP includes a default gateway, subnet mask and DNS sever(s).

DHCP

The Windows operating systems have distinct methodologies for designing and implementing networks, and have specific systems to accomplish various networking processes, such as Exchange for email, Sharepoint for shared files and programs, and IIS for delivery of web pages. Microsoft also produces server technologies for networked database use, security and virtualization.

Windows Networking

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol. LANs that use switches to join segments are called switched LANs or, in the case of Ethernet networks, switched Ethernet LANs. A hub is a connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports; when a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
