outlook email

I have an outlook account email address that keeps getting used for spam and sending out hundreds of emails every day to email addresses that do not exist and then the sending account gets a message in the inbox that it failed to deliver the message.  So there are hundreds of emails like this in the inbox every day.  I setup a rule to always send this type of email received to the deleted items and that has helped with the annoyance but I still need to figure out why this email account keeps trying to send out email.  Is there a rule that can be setup for sending email?  Maybe a warning before it sends?

Sounds like your email is getting spoofed.  I would first create a ticket with Microsoft on your o365 dashboard about the issue, (its under "support" on the left hand side), they will walk you through creating a malware and spam filter to block these types of messages.
Let us know, You can prevent junk mail from coming in, but you are also sending out where the password change comes in
its possible (and most likely) that whomever is doing this does NOT have access to his account.  Spoofing is a fairly big problem these days, and it makes an email appear to come from an email address, when it in fact does not.  Which is why he is receiving the return emails.
@mkramer777 - Thanks and I was happy to help.
